The Anti-Gun Violence Fund

About

The mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas on Tuesday, May 25th took the lives of 21, including 19 children, leaving the nation shocked and heartbroken. Gun violence in the United States has become a public health crisis, and leaves citizens wondering what they can do to help prevent the next tragedy. Bright Funds created the Anti-Gun Violence Fund to promote and support organizations whose missions include advocating for gun violence prevention at all levels. These pre-vetted organizations use legislative advocacy, education, research and community-based programming to enhance gun control policy while educating community members on the warning signs of a potential attack. Through a single donation to this fund you will support a group of nonprofit organizations who are doing the work to create a nation safe from the tragedy of gun violence.

Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund

The Everytown for Gun Safety Support Fund was formed both to educate the public about the detrimental effects of illegal guns in order to reduce gun violence in the United States and to lessen the burdens of government by assisting American local governments and law enforcement agencies in their efforts to develop effective policies to combat illegal guns. The Fund supports programmatic activities of approximately 1000 mayors in the coalition of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, as well as other government officials and law enforcement leaders.

Sandy Hook Promise Foundation

Sandy Hook Promise’s mission is to  create a culture engaged in preventing shootings, violence, and other harmful acts in schools. Sandy Hook Promise is a moderate, above-the-politics organization that supports sensible program and policy solutions that address the “human side” of gun violence by preventing individuals from ever getting to the point of picking up a firearm to hurt themselves or others. Our words, actions, and impact nationwide are intended to honor all victims of gun violence by turning our tragedy into a moment of transformation.

Brady Center To Prevent Gun Violence

Brady is uniting Americans, coast to coast, gun owners and non gun owners alike, to end the gun violence epidemic that plagues America. A complicated problem requires a comprehensive approach, so Brady works across Congress, the courts and communities to fight for common sense gun laws, holding bad actors accountable, and to educate everyone on the issues so we are all part of the solution.

Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence

Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence, the nation’s leading policy organization dedicated to researching, writing, enacting, and defending proven laws and programs, is on a mission to save lives from gun violence by shifting culture, changing policies, and challenging injustice.

Violence Policy Center

Guns killed more than 40,000 Americans in 2020. Since 1988, the Violence Policy Center (VPC) has worked to stop gun violence through research, education, advocacy, and collaboration. Approaching gun violence as a public health issue, as opposed to solely a crime issue, we inform the press and public about the impact of gun violence on their daily lives, expose the profit-driven marketing and lobbying activities of the firearms industry and gun lobby, offer unique technical expertise to policymakers, organizations, and advocates on the federal, state, and local levels, and work for policy changes that save lives. The VPC firmly believes the answer to reducing gun violence lies in applying the decades-long lessons of public health injury prevention and consumer product safety regulation.

Alliance for Gun Responsibility Foundation

We use a data driven, public health approach to promote community education and programs to reduce gun violence.
